Caberg Drift is the new full face helmet from the Italian manufacturer, and it oozes style. The big visor, simple air vents and the aerodynamic shape combine to make this a great-looking helmet which is made of tri-composite fibre (carbon, Kevlar and fibreglass), and there’s also a full carbon option, which offers a weight reduction when compared to the tri-composite version.
Caberg Drift helmet comes equipped with a quick-release visor, making it easy to remove for cleaning or replacement. There’s also an integrated sun-visor: a great feature that many helmets are still lacking. Flicking the sun-visor down is easy thanks to the handy switch positioned on the left-hand side of the helmet.
The lining is completely removable and washable, made with hypoallergenic and transpiring fabrics. There’s also a removable chin guard that helps increase or decrease the amount of air getting in the helmet. It fastens with a DD ring as standard. It’s an old-school approach, but still the favourite among many riders. The three air vents are easy to use with gloves on.
The lower vent on the chin guard is designed to drive air directly to the inner side of the visor to avoid misting (although a Pinlock lens comes with the helmet). The top vent channels fresh air inside the helmet through numerous air grooves, while the rear vent gets rid of hot and stale air from the helmet.
The Caberg Drift helmet comes in sizes XS-XL. Colours available are solid matt black or white, with flux, tour and shadow designs. It looks stylish, feels light and comes packed with great features. It’s a great option if you’re looking for a helmet around the £200 price point.
