The former Top Gear presenter, James May has revealed he was caught speeding just minutes after he bought a new motorbike at a west London dealership. He was ‘busted’ soon after he clocked doing more than the 30mph limit on a stretch of the North Circular less than half-a-mile from the dealership in Chiswick.
A map which was posted on Twitter shows May was caught breaching the speed limit near Gunnersbury Cemetery, less than half-a-mile from Honda Chiswick.
“It’s a fair cop. I try to respect speed limits and rules in urban areas… Out on the motorways and in the country it’s a bit different, but I try to abide by the rules in the city. I was caught this time. That stretch of road used to be 40 (miles per hour), but they recently brought it down to 30,” James May told MailOnline…
James May’s new show The Grand Tour, with former Top Gear colleagues Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond, is due to be shown on Amazon Prime this autumn.
